  • Lateral Signing Bonus $25,000

  • Top Step Officer with incentive pays 194K, $16,214 a month

  • Starting salary step based on lateral years of service

  • Classic CalPERS Retirement 3% at 55 depending on individual eligibility

  • City pays full medical for you and your family: Kaiser Platinum Plan (zero cost to you)

    • Cash in lieu if you don’t elect city coverage

  • City Delta Dental Plan for you and your family: 90% coverage, $3K annual dental, $3K lifetime orthodontics

  • $1400 annual uniform allowance

  • Special assignments w/ premium pay

    • Homicide Detective

    • Special Response Team

    • Hostage Negotiator

    • Field Training Officer

  • Bilingual Pay 5%

  • Longevity Pay: 3% per- 8, 12, 15, 18 years (12% total)

  • POST Certificate Pay: 5% Intermediate, 7% Advanced

  • CIT/ KIND Pay: CIT 2% + KIND 4% all officers

  • Paid on-duty workouts

  • Free 100K Life Insurance

  • Generous vacation accruals based on years of service — Lateral years accepted

  • 14 Paid holidays and 3 floating holidays

  • 4/10 or 3/12.5 work schedule

  • Sick pay with conversion into retiree medical trust

  • Customized wellness program partnered with O2X offers: on site specialist, personal trainer, readiness assessments, and online tools
