Analyst
We are seeking a skilled Crime Analyst to spearhead the creation of a new real-time analysis program. In this role, you will develop advanced analytical processes that provide immediate, actionable insights to support patrol operations, while also delivering in-depth crime analysis to aid investigations. Applicants should have a strong background in crime pattern analysis and be proficient with GIS, data systems, and analytical tools. Experience with emerging public safety technologies, such as automated license plate readers, fixed camera systems, and drones is an asset but not required. Salary: $122,216.12 - $147,550.26 Annually
Equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, or a related field and three (3) years in the development and implementation of programs.
Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities.
When driving on City business, the incumbent is required to maintain a valid California driver's license as well as a satisfactory driving record.
Must be able to attend evening and weekend meetings.
